About Me

Hello, I’m Gail, thank you for visiting my website.

My love of dogs and all things nature started at the age of 5 when my parents bought a Beagle by the name of Cindy into the family. We started exploring the local woods and parks with her and the whole family started to develop a love of nature and the great outdoors.

Cindy was my best friend throughout my childhood. She came with me on my many paper rounds, I walked her with friends who had also got dogs and she came with us on holiday every year. Being a naturally early riser, we would quite often have been out exploring before anyone else was up!

I was 22 when Cindy passed away. I had 2 dogs of my own by then but the whole family were devastated when she died.

In the years since then my dogs have accompanied me on many more adventures, Trotting alongside the horses while out horse riding, we’ve had fun trying out Agility and flyball and got lost many times when my map reading hasn’t quite been up to scratch. Whatever we do though, we have fun together.

Currently there are 5 dogs living at home with our family. They range in size from a Patterdale terrier to a Mastiff crossbreed and all have their own special personalities.

Two of them regularly compete with me at canicross (Cross country running with your dog) and the newest member of the family, a rescued Beagle called Bella, is in training for the sport too.

We regularly walk at local beauty spots such as Teversal, Brierley Forest, Thieves wood, Blidworth wood, Portland park, Newstead Abbey, Rufford Country park and many more.

So, if you would like to take advantage of my love of dogs and walking, then please give me a call. The more the merrier……
